FontStyleCopy turns plain text into dozens of Unicode styles you can copy and paste anywhere text is accepted. Type once and the page shows every style at the same time: bold, italic, cursive script, gothic Fraktur, double-struck, sans-serif, monospace, fullwidth, small caps, bubble letters, strikethrough, underline, zalgo, and decorated aesthetic frames.
Nothing is installed and nothing leaves your device. The conversion happens in your browser, so it works the same on a phone, tablet, or laptop.
How to copy and paste font styles
- Type or paste your text into the input box at the top of the page.
- Scroll the results. Every style updates live as you type.
- Tap Copy next to the style you want.
- Open Instagram, TikTok, Discord, WhatsApp, or any other app.
- Long-press (mobile) or right-click (desktop) the text field and choose Paste.
Want a specific look? Open a dedicated page: the cursive font generator for script handwriting styles, the bold text generator for heavy lettering, or aesthetic fonts for decorated frames and soft styles.
How it works
Fonts on your phone decide how a letter looks, and apps do not let you change them. Unicode, however, contains thousands of characters that already look styled. For example, Mathematical Bold Capital A (๐) is a different character from a normal A. This tool maps each letter you type to its styled counterpart. Because the result is just text, it pastes into bios, captions, comments, and chats like any other text.
Where fancy text works
Support depends on the platform and on the field you paste into. In general:

Usernames and handles are restricted to a small set of characters on these platforms, so fancy text is rejected there. Platform-specific guides cover the details: Instagram fonts, TikTok fonts, fonts for Discord, and WhatsApp fonts.
Why some styles show as boxes
If a styled letter appears as an empty box, a question mark, or a box with numbers inside, the device reading the text lacks a font that contains that character. This is known as tofu. Your copy may look fine on your phone and broken on someone elseโs older laptop.
Ways to reduce the risk:
- Prefer widely supported styles: bold, italic, bold italic, script, and sans-serif.
- Be careful with rare symbols, some decorative frames, and newer Unicode additions.
- Check your text on a second device or ask a friend to look at your profile.
Limits to know
- Search and discovery: Platforms may not match styled letters to normal search terms, so a name written entirely in fancy text can be harder to find.
- Character limits: Many styled letters are stored as two code units. Some apps count each one as two characters, which can push a bio over its limit sooner.
- Moderation: Some platforms remove or flag text with heavy combining marks, such as zalgo.
Accessibility note
Screen readers do not treat styled Unicode letters as normal words. They may read each letter by its technical name, spell it out, or skip it. For readers who rely on assistive technology, a fully styled bio can be unreadable. Use fancy text for short accents, such as a single word or a decorative frame, and keep your name, contact details, links, and any important information in plain text.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I copy and paste fonts on my phone?
Type your text in the box at the top of the page. Every style updates as you type. Tap the Copy button next to the style you like, then open your app, long-press the text field, and choose Paste. It works in mobile Safari, Chrome, and other modern browsers, with no app to install and no account to create.
How do I change the font on my Instagram bio?
Instagram has no font picker, so you paste Unicode characters that look like a different font. Generate your text here, tap Copy, then open Instagram, go to Edit profile, and paste into Name or Bio. Usernames only accept letters, numbers, periods, and underscores, so fancy text will not work there.
Can I use fancy fonts on TikTok?
Yes. Copy a style here and paste it into your TikTok profile Name, Bio, video captions, or comments. The TikTok username follows stricter rules and accepts only letters, numbers, underscores, and periods. Fancy text in on-video text overlays depends on whether TikTok's own fonts include those characters, so test it before posting.
How do I change my font on Discord?
Discord does not let you pick a font, but you can paste Unicode styles into your display name, server nickname, About Me, and messages. Discord also supports native markdown such as **bold**, *italic*, and ~~strikethrough~~ in messages. Your account username is limited to lowercase letters, numbers, underscores, and periods.
How do I write bold or cursive text on WhatsApp?
WhatsApp has built-in formatting: wrap text in asterisks for *bold*, underscores for _italic_, tildes for ~strikethrough~, and three backticks for monospace. WhatsApp has no native cursive, so copy a cursive style from this page and paste it into a chat, your status, or your About text.
What are Unicode fonts?
They are not real fonts. Unicode, the standard that assigns a number to every character, includes letter-like symbols such as Mathematical Bold, Script, and Fraktur letters, plus circled, fullwidth, and superscript forms. This tool swaps each normal letter for one of those symbols. Because they are ordinary characters, they survive copy and paste into any app.
Why do some fancy fonts show as boxes or question marks?
A box (often called tofu) means the device viewing the text has no installed font that contains that character. Older phones, older operating systems, and some apps with limited fonts are the usual cause. Bold, italic, and script styles have broad support; rarer symbols and decorations fail more often. Check how your text looks on another device before relying on it.
Is this font generator free?
Yes. Every style on FontStyleCopy is free to generate and copy, with no signup, no download, and no limit on how many times you use it. You can use the copied text in personal or commercial posts, but each platform's own rules on usernames and special characters still apply.
Is the text I type stored or sent anywhere?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript. The text you type is never sent to our servers and is never stored by us. Closing or refreshing the page clears it. The Privacy Policy explains what limited technical data our hosting provider processes to deliver the site.
Do screen readers read fancy fonts correctly?
Often not. Screen readers may announce each styled letter by its Unicode name, such as mathematical bold capital A, skip it, or read nothing useful. That makes fancy text hard to follow for blind and low-vision users. Use styled text for short decoration and keep names, links, prices, and other important details in plain text.
