What bubble text is
Bubble text replaces each letter with an enclosed version: a letter inside a circle or square. People use it for playful names, section labels in a bio, and stand-out captions. It is ordinary Unicode text, so it pastes into apps that do not let you change fonts.
This bubble text generator outputs four enclosed styles:
| Style | Example | Lowercase? | Digits? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Circled (outline) | Ⓑⓤⓑⓑⓛⓔ ①②③ | Yes | 0–20 |
| Circled (filled) | 🅑🅤🅑🅑🅛🅔 | No, capitals only | Partial |
| Squared (outline) | 🄱🅄🄱🄱🄻🄴 | No, capitals only | No |
| Squared (filled) | 🅱🆄🅱🅱🅻🅴 | No, capitals only | No |
For other rounded, decorative looks, browse aesthetic fonts. For tiny capitals instead of enclosed ones, try the small caps generator.
How to make bubble letters
- Type your text into the input box at the top.
- Scroll to the bubble styles. They update live.
- Tap Copy next to the style you want.
- Paste it into a name, bio, caption, comment, or message.
- Preview it, especially if you used filled squares, which may turn into emoji.
Bubble letters are large and wide, so one or two words usually look better than a sentence. Mixing styles also works: a bubble word as a label, followed by plain text, stays easy to read.

Why bubble text shows as boxes or emoji
Bubble styles come from two different Unicode blocks:
- Enclosed Alphanumerics (outlined circled letters and numbers) is old and widely supported.
- Enclosed Alphanumeric Supplement (filled circles, squares) is newer. Devices or apps without a font for it show empty boxes, known as tofu.
Some filled square letters are also emoji. On many phones, 🅰 🅱 🅾 🅿 appear as red emoji while the rest of the word stays black. That mix is a display decision of the viewer’s device, not an error in the copied text.
For the most consistent result, use outlined circled letters.
Length and search limits
Filled circles and squares are stored as two UTF-16 code units each, so some apps count each one as two characters. Search may also fail to match bubble letters to the plain word. If people need to find you, keep your name in plain text somewhere on your profile.
Accessibility note
Screen readers usually read bubble letters one at a time with long names, such as negative circled latin capital letter B, or as emoji names for the emoji-style squares. For blind visitors, a bubble name can take many seconds to hear and may not make sense. Use bubble text as a short decoration and keep names, links, and key details in plain text.
